Oprah Winfrey- My Role Model

Oprah Winfrey is one of the most powerful women in the world. In my eyes, she is the most influential woman in the nation and she is a very inspiring human being. I chose Oprah Winfrey as my role model for this project, not only because i've always dreamed to be on her show, but because she is a model-type to me in every way. I look up to people who are successful because my top priority in life is success, not money, but the fulfillment of being successful. I want to make my life worthwhile and the people who do that for themselves are an inspiration to me. Oprah Winfrey is successful- currently ranked the richest African American in history, and once ranked the world's only African American billionaire. Winfrey is a great philanthropist- the best in history actually, and she touches the hearts of all age groups across the world. I chose to write about Oprah not only for my reasons above, but also because she does so much for everybody and gives advice to anybody who needs it on and off her show- and that to me is a great role model. Even though Oprah's show is coming to its last season, it is still amazing that she can say shes been in the day by day presence of the lives of Americans for 25 years, and still is already working on new plans and projects to continue helping people in the future. Winfrey also has her own magazine in which she will continue to give her advice monthly, she has her own radio station and website, she has co-authored five books, and has been starred or featured in several different movies. Talk about success.

"What material success does is provide you with the ability to concentrate on other things that really matter. And that is being able to make a difference, not only in your own life, but in other people's lives."
